James has obtained multiple multi-million dollar verdicts through trial, and has negotiated many more million dollar plus settlements for his clients.
James received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Dakota, graduating with honors from the law school in 1987. Since that time he has practiced exclusively in the area of personal injury, with an emphasis on serious truck and auto accidents, and product liability. James has litigated hundreds of cases in state and federal courts in Kansas and Missouri, as well as throughout the United States. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and also the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, in which membership is limited to attorneys who have achieved million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. James is also a member of the Association of Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America, an organization dedicated to making our roads safer for everyone.
He is a member of the Missouri Bar, the U.S. Supreme Court Bar, the Federal Court Bars in Kansas and Missouri, the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA), and the Kansas City Bar Association.
